Meet the Artist
Nancy is a German-born, self-taught artist lining and working in the United States. Under the name Kunterbunt Noir, she creates poetic, story-driven paintings that exist between color and shadow, tenderness and unease.
Her work draws from folklore, myth, and intuitive symbolism in dreamlike landscapes. These spaces feel familiar yet unsettled, inviting viewers to imagine their own narratives rather than offering fixed meanings. Emotional depth, quiet vulnerability, and a sense of inner movement shape each piece, allowing contrast to coexist without resolution.
Working outside traditional academic frameworks, Nancy’s self taught practice follows instinct and feeling over convention. Her paintings offer moments of stillness - places where softness, darkness, and imagination meet.
Artistic Vision
Art that dances between light and shadow elegance and whimsy, crafted to whisper stories, to spark emotions and imagination.
